Y-ME Changes It's Name

Following is a message from Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization®:

Because you are a friend of Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization®, we wanted you to be one of the first to know that we have changed our name. On Mother's Day, as part of our Race to Empower™ and Walk to Empower™ events held across the country, we formally announced that our new name is Breast Cancer Network of Strength™. This exciting change kicks off our 30th anniversary year. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same -- to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone.

The goal of our re-branding is to better communicate our mission. As you will see, our logo has dramatically changed. We have adopted a new, stylized ribbon, and we have included four distinct figures to visually express that we are here to support all people touched by breast cancer.

The cornerstone of this organization has been and continues to be peer support. In order to strengthen the identity of our core services, we are introducing YourShoes™. YourShoes services include our 24/7 hotline with real-time interpretation in more than 150 languages, peer support via our Web site, and support groups led by trained facilitators. All YourShoes services are conducted by breast cancer survivors. The words of one of our callers nicely sums ups the value of peer support: "Even though my family is a wonderful support system, I needed someone who had been in my shoes."

Please visit our new Web site at http://www.networkofstrength.org/ to learn more about our name change.

Sincerely,

Margaret C. Kirk
Chief Executive Officer

The Shenandoah Valley's Ladies Golf News

Ladies, if you live or work in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and want to learn how to play golf, come join Fran Romeo, owner of BogeysandBirdies.com, Pink-Ribbon-Store.com, ChampagnePromotions.com and several other businesses on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club, Blueridgeshadows.com for an EWGA reception.

The fun starts with a meet and greet at 6 PM. You will learn all about the EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association) http://ewga.com/ and Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club .

Fran was a "newbie" golfer when she heard about EWGA. Once she joined she was hooked on the organization.

You will be amazed at the beauty of Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club. It is nestled in the tranquility of Virginia's historic Shenandoah Valley, and surrounded by breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our spectacular championship-caliber course will challenge not only the most discriminating golfer but, with five sets of tee boxes ranging from 4,994 to 7301 yards, promises a pleasurable experience for all levels of play.

Crooked Run Creek and our five lakes come into play on eight holes and the 65 bunkers will have you thinking about your next shot. The fifteenth and seventeenth holes share a 120 yard wide double green.

No. 13 is their signature hole complete with a beautiful waterfall..

FLY A PINK RIBBON FLAG AND "PAINT YOUR TOWN PINK"

Y-ME NCA and Pink-Ribbon-Store.com have teamed up in the fight against breast cancer. Join them in this year's first-annual "Paint Your Town Pink" campaign.
